J. Doug Stroud, M.D.
Dr. Stroud grew up in central Arkansas; he graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and the University of Arkansas Medical School in Little Rock. He interned at Emory University and has been a licensed medical doctor for over 30 years. The first six years he practiced family medicine in Conway and in 1982 he began training as an ENT (Otolaryngologist) at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in Oklahoma City. He returned to Conway in 1986 where he has been in private practice taking care of patients with a variety of medical and surgical problems relating to the ear, nose and throat areas.
Dr. Stroud has attended sinus forums over the past year in New York City and Colorado Springs adding to his Continuing Medical Education.
He has served on several boards at Conway Regional during his career including the Medical Information Board for six years and as chairman of the Credentialing Committee for 17 years. He is currently a member of the Arkansas Medical Society and the American Academy of Otorhinolaryngology.
Karon Leach, CST Arkansas Licensed
Karon began working at Conway ENT Clinic in 2001, she is Dr. Stroud’s office Medical Assistant, Certified Surgical Technologist and Surgical Assistant. She assists with office patient care, in-office procedures including the balloon sinuplasty.
Karon has worked in healthcare for over 30 years. She obtains precertification and schedules surgery as well as other outpatient procedures. She will be able to answer any questions you have regarding your in-office procedure or surgery.
She is very personable, caring and helpful when it comes to a patient’s needs and concerns.
Ashley Roper, Front Office Coordinator
Ashley began working at Conway ENT Clinic in January of 2013 part-time, she quickly advanced to full time as our receptionist later that year. She checks patients in and out throughout clinic and will schedule your appointment for office visits, both new and returning. She also calls patients the day before to remind them of their appointment.
Ashley has worked in the healthcare field for over 12 years. She helps obtain authorization for CT’s when insurance requires, contacts the patient once authorization is obtained and schedules patients for their CT review appointment.
She has a very friendly personality and will be able to help you with any questions you may have.
